Sands China team members recently learned about civil protection in Macau at a seminar at The Parisian Theatre as part of the company’s ongoing effort to build professionalism and elevate the awareness of disaster prevention and emergency response capabilities among team members.
Cheong Chi Fai, sub-commissioner of the Civil Protection Operations Centre of the Unitary Police Service, conducted the seminar, which helped team members better understand civil protection work and disaster prevention knowledge.
“As part of our company’s professionalism training initiatives, this type of knowledge is critical during community emergencies like typhoons, as it can help save lives and protect property,” said Wilfred Wong, president of Sands China, as cited in a statement.
Nearly 270 team members attended, including some interns from Sands China’s Career Experience Opportunities Programme. Sands Cares Ambassadors also attended the training as part of Macau’s Community Emergency Volunteer Scheme.
