The Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau (SMG)said Macau will be affected by a high-altitude anticyclone early this week, bringing sunny skies and hot daytime conditions. However, from midweek to the end of the week, an active southwest airflow will increase showers and thunderstorms. The seven-day forecast shows showers beginning Wednesday (May 13). Meanwhile, Tropical Cyclone Hagupit is gathering over the northwest Pacific and is moving toward waters east of the Philippines, with its intensity gradually weakening.
