KIPOfC0Zl5U8O9M4qPUbiyFQMcDCItVku-68aZ3Gn10 We all have heard about some of the beauty secrets of Cleopatra, the last pharaoh of Ancient Egypt who captured the heart of powerful men such as Julius Caesar and Mark Antony. Her most well known beauty habit was that she loved to bath in milk. Indeed, the benefits of milk on the skin are backed with science. Rich in amino acids and vitamins, milk hydrates the skin and helps it to retain moisture. Lactic acid can also be found in milk. An alpha hydroxyl acid, it exfoliates the skin gently and enhances moisture penetration.
I personally find the weather during winter to be unbearable. First of all, humidity is low and the skin can loose its moisture quickly. Fortunately, the Banyan Tree Spa at Banyan Tree Macau has a wonderful treatment that takes care of this problem, named “Winter Escape.” Just like Cleopatra, guest can enjoy a beautiful milk bath. More than just milk, the bath also has another special ingredient inside, green tea.
Green tea is known to be packed with antioxidant, which can neutralize free radicals and reduce inflammation. While the weather outside of the spa is cold, the warm, nourishing milk bath keeps the body warm. It is indeed the most suitable treat for winter skin.
In addition to the bath, the “Winter Escape” package also includes a perfect combination of Thai and Chinese massages for total rejuvenation.
Chill and relax as the therapist blends subtle stretching with rhythmic massaging to promote deep relaxation while improving flexibility. Finally, the treatment concludes with a foot therapy as the stress melts away. Now we can all be as beautiful and relaxed like Cleopatra.
