‘Stay, Dine and see Macao’ activities back on track

The “Stay, Dine and see Macao” activities are planned to resume as the city’s Covid-19 pandemic situation stabilizes, according to a statement published by the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO).

The hotel staycation scheme will resume first, with local residents able to sign in from yesterday and check-ins resuming today,

Under the hotel staycation program, each local resident is eligible for a one-off MOP200 subsidy for a stay in a local hotel, while the cost of each hotel room can be subsidized by a maximum of two residents, equivalent to MOP400 subsidy in total.

Local tours will resume August 15, with residents able to register from August 8. Each resident can enjoy a maximum subsidy of MOP280 for participation in one of the local tours, including a MOP100 dining card.

The activity period of the “Stay, Dine and See Macao” program is from January 29 to August 31 this year, but it was suspended in June due to the coronavirus outbreak. A total of 2,851 people were affected by the suspension, and 5,511 hotel room bookings were canceled.

In addition, the MGTO is considering whether conditions are suitable to continue the “Student Research Chapter” itinerary. Staff reporter
