Britain’s Conservative Party says it will push for American football, basketball and baseball franchises to be based in the country.
The pledge features in the manifesto launched by Prime Minister David Cameron yesterday ahead of next month’s general election.
The NFL and NBA have been playing regular-season games in London for several years. And a study last year by accountancy firm Deloitte, commissioned by the NFL, showed that a franchise in London could generate more than USD250 million a year for the country.
