Hu Zhengyue will leave his post in Macau

One of the top officials currently working at the General Office of the Foreign Affairs Leading Group, Ye Dabo, will replace Hu Zhengyue, the Commissioner of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Macau, by the end of the month.
Ye, born in 1956 in Quanzhou in Fujian province, is slated to officially commence his new position next Thursday. The mainland official started his initial career as an English teacher in a secondary school in 1974 and then worked for the Fujian Normal University after completing his studies there. He has also worked for a journalistic association as a part-time translator.
The future commissioner joined the mainland’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1986, and has worked on foreign affairs in Taiwan and the United States since then.
Later on in his career, he also spent  a  few  years in the
Commonwealth of Dominica, Sri Lanka and Maldives as a plenipotentiary after being promoted into the General Office of the Foreign Affairs Leading Group in 1997.
The incumbent commissioner was appointed by the central government in 2011. AU
