Young man loses MOP6,000 in credit card fraud

A local resident has reported a significant financial loss after his credit card information was allegedly stolen and used for unauthorized purchases. The victim, a young man, reported a of over HKD6,000 in unauthorized transactions on his card. The incident occurred Aug. 22, when the victim received a bank notification of HKD6,022 in credit card purchases he had not made. Suspecting his card information had been compromised, the man promptly reported the fraud to authorities. The investigation into this credit card scam is ongoing.
