80% of schools to begin new year Sept. 2

The Education and Youth Development Bureau has announced about 80% of non-tertiary schools will begin the new academic year on Sept. 2, with the remaining schools starting on Sept. 3. The bureau has coordinated with schools, uniform suppliers, and booksellers to ensure a smooth transition, including securing sufficient school uniform supplies and timely textbook deliveries. Authorities have also collaborated with the Transport Bureau to monitor traffic conditions and make necessary preparations for the start of the school year.
