Workplace accidents drop 6.6% in early 2025
Macau saw a 6.6% decrease in workplace accidents during the first quarter of 2025, with 1,130 reported cases, according to Labour Affairs Bureau, as cited in media reports. Among the injured, 122 returned to work the same day, and no permanent disabilities were recorded. However, two fatalities occurred, with no safety violations found. The gaming and entertainment sector accounted for the most accidents, with 350 cases, representing nearly 31% of the total reported incidents.
