Several top golfers recently attended a press conference at Wynn Palace to promote the USD2 million International Series Macau presented by Wynn. Fireballs GC captain Sergio Garcia and Majesticks GC co-captain Ian Poulter were in attendance, along with HyFlyers GC star Andy Ogletree and Hong Kong’s 2022 Asian Games gold medalist Taichi Kho.
Organizers also donated USD25,000 to the Macau Special Olympics. Garcia, a six-time winner in Asia, said the region offers huge growth potential for golf. Poulter, who won the 2010 Hong Kong Open, said he enjoys competing in Asia and hopes for continued success. Ogletree, last year’s Order of Merit winner, said the series draws top talent by visiting great locations.
Kho said competing against stars like Poulter, Garcia and Ogletree highlights the series’ strength. A ceremony was held for Wynn Macau, LIV Golf and The International Series to present the Special Olympics with a USD25,000 donation. The tournament runs from March 14-17 at Macau Golf & Country Club.
