Approved investments along with those still under review by Angola’s National Agency for Private Investment (ANIP) in 2014 exceeded USD7.7 billion, the president of the agency announced at a meeting in Wacu Cungu, Kwanza Sul province. Maria Luísa Abrantes, who was speaking at the opening session of ANIP’S 3rd Advisory Board said that amount was from 214 proposals for direct private investments. Abrantes also said that in order to monitor investment projects, the agency’s staff had visited 466 companies to assess the level of implementation of approved projects.
