The Macau Cultural Centre (CCM) will stage additional shows of “Hup” and “Spot” due to high demand for performances during the Centre’s “ARTmusing Summer.”
Coming from Scotland and the Netherlands, the two shows for babies and preschoolers will be presented in late July and early August as part of a series of over 30 productions for all ages.
“Hup” is a piece by Edinburgh-based company Starcatchers for new parents who want to expose babies of up to 24 months of age to an inspirational world of musical and visual wonders, according to a statement by CCM. The show, which draws a connection between nature and music, will run from July 20 until July 24 with three shows each day.
Dutch company Theatre Terra’s “Spot” is a family musical featuring a display of life-size puppets, colourful sets and characters. The show is for toddlers aged two and above. The performance is based on Eric Hill’s worldwide popular children’s book series “Spot the Dog.” Theater Terra will perform for two days on August 6 and 7.
Moreover, CCM is offering “ARTmusing Summer Packages” that are applicable to several programmes, including “Mr. Satie Made in Paper”, “Carnival of the Animals”,  “Hup”, “Chook & Gek”, “Spot” and “Chalk About.” The package provides a discount of up to 30 percent on the purchase of three or more program tickets.
