Blue Avenue’ is the first project from the Macau Economic Service (DSE) to boost e-payment services in the region and will kick off in December this year at S Domingos in central Macau.
The announcement was made at the Legislative Assembly (AL) by DSE director Tai Kin Ip in response to a spoken enquiry by lawmaker Chan Hong regarding the developments of Internet + and Wi-Fi Go in the territory.
“This is the first activity that is also a business promotion articulated with ‘megadata’ technology and oriented toward consumption allowed by the payment institutions from mainland China,” said Tai.
The initiative will start in the central area on a trial basis before expansion to other surrounding areas.
Tai remarked that the first phase of the project supports more than 100 shops.
