Car crashes through wall, injures pedestrian

A male pedestrian suffered serious head injuries after he was hit by debris from a wall when a car crashed into it on Sunday night. Information suggests that the incident took place at around 8 p.m. at the car park on the second floor of a residential building on Avenida do Almirante Lacerda. It is alleged that a male driver was driving a minivan in the car park when he crashed into the wall. The collision created a hole in the wall and the debris which injured the pedestrian fell onto the street. Both the pedestrian and the driver were sent to hospital. The Fire Service has sealed the scene and inspected the damaged part of the wall, as well as cleaned up the debris.
