The Buzz | French tennis federation official banned for life

A French tennis official has been banned for life by the Tennis Integrity Unit for several rule violations, including gambling.
The TIU says the charges against Morgan Lamri covered breaches of four articles of its anti-corruption program in 2012 and 2013. These involve attempts to influence the outcome of an event, to “facilitate any player not to use his or her best efforts” and to “wager or attempt to wager” on the outcome of a match.
The 22-year-old Lamri has been a chair umpire on the futures and challenger tours.
Lamri has denied corruption, but tells The Associated Press he bet on matches he was not involved in.
