Caregiver subsidy amount raised to MOP2,400 per month

The government announced a revised caregiver subsidy policy effective this month, increasing the monthly subsidy from MOP2,175 to MOP2,400 and expanding eligibility to include individuals with severe or profound mental disabilities, such as primary psychiatric disorders; children under the age of four who are classified but not graded under the mentioned categories; and individuals unable to sit or stand without assistance from others or external aids due to physical functional impairments. Alongside easing the application threshold, this change extends coverage to residents living in the Hengqin Guangdong–Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone.
