Tigerair to offer promotional Kaohsiung-Macau tickets

Tigerair Taiwan, the first budget carrier based in Taiwan since it took to the skies last September, is increasing its bid in the low-cost air travel market by offering 1,000 one-way tickets between Kaohsiung in southern Taiwan and Macau for NT$777 (USD24).
The budget carrier, a joint venture between Taiwan’s China Airlines and Singapore’s Tiger Airways, said Monday that the tickets would go on sale at noon Tuesday.
The promotional campaign came after its offer of an inaugural Taipei-Macau flight for NT$88 (US$2.75) last month, in the hopes of building up travel momentum to the Chinese Special Administrative Region, according to the airline.
The NT$777 (US$24) tickets, which do not include tax, can be used between April 1 and June 30, it said.
