Corporate Bits | MGM hosts activities to raise social inclusion awareness

MGM once again sponsored the Conference on Inclusive Education, Sports and Social Media as one of its initiatives to raise public awareness of social inclusion.

The conference, held at MGM Cotai’s Ballroom yesterday, was the beginning of a series of activities planned throughout the year to further promote social inclusion through art workshops and sporting events during the month of April.

A line-up of international speakers was invited to share insights on the topic of social inclusion at the conference which was attended by nearly 400 audience members from various fields, according to a statement issued by the gaming operator.

According to that statement, the event highlighted the importance of creating a more welcoming and inclusive world for all, in which individual differences are appreciated and respected.

On the day of the conference, more than 100 athletes with disabilities gathered at MGM Cotai’s Ballroom Foyer for an art workshop, and together created designs for mannequins, motorbike toy models, helmets and more.

BNU opens new branch in Taipa

BNU yesterday held its Taipa Flower City Branch Opening Ceremony, marking its 20th branch across Macau, Hengqin and Zhuhai.

The newly finished Taipa Flower City Branch provides a larger area and a more convenient environment for customers, according to a statement issued by the bank.

Compared to the previous Taipa Flower City Branch, this new branch provides the Advantage Service, focused on affluent customers, aiming to bring a new banking experience to customers.

In further news, BNU announced that it will open a new branch at the N1 building of the University of Macau in the second half of the year.

BNU stated that these expansions are part of the bank’s efforts regarding the economic development of the city.

Pedro Cardoso, CEO of BNU, officiated the ceremony, along with other guests including Vítor Sereno, Consul General of Portugal in Macau and Hong Kong, and Deborah Ng, Member of the Macao Monetary Authority Administrative Commission, amongst others.
