Sands China Ltd. has launched a new training module on recognising and preventing discrimination and harassment in the workplace in July, with the aim of training all of the company’s more than 28,000 team members by the end of the year.

More than 15,000 Sands China team members have already completed the training within the first three months of its launch, the gaming operator announced in a statement.

“Establishing and maintaining a positive workplace is essential for any business, and our company believes in providing an inclusive environment where discrimination and harassment are not tolerated, and respect and consideration are the norm,” said Dr. Wilfred Wong, president of Sands China Ltd.

The company’s formal policy for preventing discrimination and sexual harassment was established in July.

It seeks to promote a culture of respect and equity, and has a ‘no tolerance’ policy towards any type of harassment or discrimination. The policy further ensures that appropriate action is taken in cases where accusations of harassment or discrimination are made by or against team members.

Wynn to hold business matching sessions

Wynn Resorts is partnering with the Macao Chamber of Commerce to organize the Wynn Local SME Procurement Partnership Program 2018 – Business Matching Session for Small and Micro Enterprises, “Made in Macau” Enterprises, and Macau Young Entrepreneurs Enterprises, on November 22.

The event to be held in the Grand Ballroom of Wynn Macau aimd at creating more business opportunities for SMEs and help facilitate their business growth.

The partnership meeting will be arranged in advance through appointments, the gaming operator said in a press release.

Eligible enterprises are invited to send representatives to attend the meeting and develop business partnerships.

During the event, Wynn will collect information from three major types of enterprises via a questionnaire. The questionnaire aims to optimize Wynn’s policies and measures to continuously support SMEs and local vendors. Relevant vendors can confirm their attendance and register for this business-matching session through the Online Business Matching Service Platform of the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute until October 24.
