Sands China Ltd. hosted its fifth Because We Care Team Member Awards Ceremony at The Venetian Macao’s Venetian Theatre last week, honoring 192 nominees for their dedication to the company, with awards given to the top performers in seven categories.
As with prior years, winners are selected based on the company’s Because We Care set of cultural values – Friendliness, Professionalism, Active Listening and Teamwork – and are recognized with seven distinct awards: the Influential Service Award, the Exceptional Spirit Award, the Impressive Performance Award, the ECO360° Live. Green Award, the People’s Choice Award, the Best Leadership Award, and the Outstanding Teamwork Award.
melco inspires high school students with creative career options
Focusing heavily on developing local Macau talents, Melco and its business partner, Dragone, have recently showcased non-gaming career opportunities to local high school students, providing them inspirations to pursue education and future careers in creative and entertainment production.
A total of 40 students, along with their teachers from Luso-Chinese Technical and Vocational Middle School joined a backstage tour jointly organized by Melco Crown Entertainment and Dragone. The wardrobe was the highlight of the tour, with over 400 costumes, 300 pairs of specialty shoes, and 80 individual wigs, all custom-made for this spectacle. The delegation also met two of their schoolmates at the wardrobe, who are currently interns for the show.
