Corporate Bits | Sands concludes fashion week

Sands Resorts Macao concluded the Sands Macao Fashion Week (SMFW18) on Wednesday after showcasing many retail brands available at Sands Shoppes Macao and supporting local up-and-coming fashion designers.

As part of Sands China Ltd.’s ongoing campaign to support local cultural and creative industries, the closing show, hosted by the Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Center, highlighted other local designers, with ten Macao fashion brands presenting exciting new collections. Eight local designers also showcased outfits as part of an exhibition which took place at The Parisian Macao’s Rotunda throughout SMFW18.

Other fashion events and offers included a Your BAZAAR Statement Tee vending machine, Cosmopolitan Fashion-Style Reverse House photo booth, Versace Chain Reaction pop-up, Versus Versace promotion campaign and Victoria’s Secret Dream Angels collection pop-up.

David Sylvester, executive vice president of Global Retail, Las Vegas Sands Corp., said: “After last year’s successful inaugural event, the industry demanded that Sands Macao Fashion Week become a permanent fixture on the international calendar,” as cited in a press release.

Melco holds workshop for SMES

Melco Resorts & Entertainment Limited held a workshop introducing local SMEs to the Green Key Awards, ISO14001 certification, the latest trends on procurement sustainability and Melco’s green initiatives.

Held yesterday at Studio City with the support of the Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Center, over 50 SME representatives from various industries and sectors attended.

The workshop concluded with a business networking session, where SME representatives had a platform to introduce their products and services directly to Melco’s Supply Chain Department, the gaming operator said in a statement.
