Corporate Bits | Sheng Kung Hui and Galaxy Entertainment Group hold ‘Run for Fun’

P001Galaxy Entertainment Group’s Staff Social Club collaborated with the Sheng Kung Hui Macau Social Services Coordination Office to organize the “Run for Fun” at the Guia Hill aiming to promote a healthy lifestyle and work-life balance.
Around 200 team members participated in the competition and competed for the men and women’s individual race as well as the mixed relay race awards. Apart from the fastest time awards for both Individual and Mixed Relay races, the competition also featured a Best Costume Award, Best Cheerleading Team Award and several Lucky Awards. Through this activity, GEG hoped to encourage its team members to expand their exposure to nature, as well as to strengthen team spirit and interaction between different departments.

4th MGM International Lion dance championship kicks off nov 8

01MGM is hosting the 4th “MGM Macau International Lion Dance Championship” on November 8 and 9 at the Grande Praça, welcoming renowned lion dance troupes from all over the world to compete for the championship.
Together with MGM, The Wushu General Association of Macau is co-organizer, with support from the Macau Sport Development Board, the Macau Government Tourist Office and the Dragon & Lion Dances Federation of Asia.
This year’s Championship features 24 teams from 11 countries and regions. A total of 15 participating men’s troupes include previous champion, the Kun Seng Keng Dragon & Lion Dance Association, and two renowned local lion dance troupes, the Macau Associação Desportiva e Recreativa Hong Vai and Macau Associação Desportiva e do Leão Acordado Lo Leong are the highlight of this competition.

Conrad Macao appoints Emmanuel Souliere as executive chef

Chef Emmanuel Souliere_Low resConrad Macao, Cotai Central has appointed Emmanuel Souliere as Executive Chef.  Originally from France, Chef Souliere comes to Conrad Macao with more than 24 years’ experience in both the hospitality and restaurant industries and will be overseeing all of the hotel’s food and beverage operations including western banquet kitchens, in-room dining kitchen, Dynasty 8 and Grand Orbit restaurants.
