CPTTM marks 30 years with push for digital transformation

The Productivity and Technology Transfer Center (CPTTM) marked its 30th anniversary with a reception on Thursday to highlight its role in upgrading local industry and outline a renewed push toward digital transformation and economic diversification.
In an address, Ng Wai Han, Secretary for Economy and Finance, said the center has “made significant contributions to enhancing the productivity of local enterprises” and to Macau’s broader economic development over the past three decades.
Ng said that CPTTM has helped thousands of businesses upgrade and transform, including through ISO and “M-Mark” certification and digital support services for small and medium-sized enterprises. The “M-Mark” Macao Product Quality Certification Scheme covers food, health supplements, proprietary Chinese medicines, and clothing.
Ng called for stronger efforts to promote the “Made in Macao” brand, expand certification systems, and help companies reach markets in the Greater Bay Area and Portuguese-speaking countries. She also emphasized the need to speed up the use of artificial intelligence and big data, as well as expand professional certification in fields such as high technology and traditional Chinese medicine.
Senior officials, including Edmund Ho, vice chairperson of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, attended the event, along with various representatives from local business and community groups. NS
