Final round of University IT competition to kick off in July

The final round of the 2017 Pan-Pearl River Delta Region Universities IT Project Competition will be held on July 4 and 5 at the Macao Polytechnic Institute (IPM). Fifty teams from 15 provinces, including Hong Kong and Macau, will showcase their work in an exhibition that will be open to the public. The 11th edition of the competition is co-organized by IPM and the Macao Computer Society, with the support of computer associations from other regions. According to an IPM statement, the district trials of the annual competition attracts tens of thousands of student participants from more than two hundred colleges and universities.

Macau-themed garden wins five prizes in Wuhan

A garden designed by the Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau (IACM) won five prizes at the 10th Wuhan International Garden Expo, said the IACM in a statement on Tuesday. The garden combines characteristics of the Ruins of Saint Paul and assorted Portuguese architecture, as well as lotus flower motifs, fountains, sculptures and murals. A total of 82 cities and Chinese regions, in addition to 10 foreign cities, participated in the exhibition. All designs will be preserved as new tourist attractions in the city of Wuhan.
