Helena Almeida retrospective exhibit opens today

The first large-scale retrospective in Asia dedicated to Portuguese artist Helena Almeida will open at 6:30 p.m. today at the Macao Museum of Art. The exhibition, “Helena Almeida: I Am Here – Presence and Resonance,” showcases nearly 42 sets comprising 190 original works by Almeida, alongside 14 sets of inspired pieces by artists from mainland China and Macau. The exhibit, organized by the IC and the School of Intermedia Art at the China Academy of Art, is divided into “Presence” and “Resonance” sections. Almeida is known for her work in photography, performance art, body art, painting, and drawing.
