Heritage | Mandarin’s House to organize bazaar

2-Mandarin-HouseThe “Celebration of the Year of the Monkey – Bazaar at the Mandarin’s House”, organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) in cooperation with the Macau Cultural Resources Association, is set to provide a series of afternoon activities on March 12 and 13 at the Mandarin’s House.
According to a press release, the bazaar will include activities divided into different areas, such as performances, games, lantern riddles, souvenirs redemption and such.
A “Traditional Costume Children’s Show” will also be held on the last day of the event. The selected 20 candidates will walk the runway in the Mandarin’s House in traditional costumes provided by the organizer or by the candidates.
Additionally, visitors can exchange games stamps for traditional hand-made crafts in the souvenir redemption zone, such as sugar paintings and pinwheels. Different types of tea will also be served to tea lovers and local delicacies will be made available to visitors.
A few performances include Cantonese Opera by the Cantonese Opera Juvenile Training Centre of the Macau General Union of Neighborhood Associations and a Western music performance by the Macau Orchestra.
