HKD214,000 cash seized in illegal money exchange bust

Two mainland men in their 40s were arrested for illegal money exchange, one of whom is a foreign cleaning worker. The Public Security Police seized HKD214,000 in cash from the suspects. The police intercepted the two outside a casino while conducting an illegal currency exchange. One man admitted it was his first day acting as a money exchanger, converting RMB7,480 into HKD8,000 for a 0.6% commission. Police said the foreign worker refused to cooperate.
