Man arrested for scamming compatriots of work

The Judiciary Police (PJ) has arrested a 40-year-old mainland man for allegedly claiming he knew hotel executives and could introduce mainlanders to work in Macau. The PJ’s preliminarily investigation is continuing and has revealed about five to six other mainlanders were deceived. The suspect charged each person a referral fee of RMB5,000 to 6,000 yuan and has already received about RMB38,000. The suspect works as a cleaner in a Cotai hotel and has admitted to losing his money gambling.
