Melco Resorts & Entertainment organized around 30 volunteering activities during the Chinese New Year season, reaching more than 1,200 community beneficiaries through its “Simple Acts of Kindness” initiative.

Working with local community partners, the events engaged children, women, elderly residents and persons with disabilities. One highlight was a visit to the Pou Tai Integrated Service Center for the Elderly, where Melco volunteers joined management representatives in celebrating the Lunar New Year with residents through games and souvenir distribution.

The company also encouraged employees to bring their children to the events under its “Teaching Children Values” program to promote community service from a young age.

Other activities included a Lunar New Year movie appreciation session for local children and events celebrating Chinese New Year and International Women’s Day with community groups.

Melco said in a statement that it remains committed to working with partners to promote social inclusion and community well-being.
