Melco, Wynn, MGM announce one-month bonuses for staff

Melco Resorts & Entertainment, Wynn Macau, and MGM China Holdings have joined Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) in granting a special one-month bonus to eligible employees, in recognition of staff contributions over the past year.
Melco Resorts said in a brief statement yesterday that its discretionary bonus will be paid to eligible non-management employees in Macau and Hong Kong by the end of January, without specifying the number of eligible recipients.
“The discretionary bonus payment acknowledges our colleagues’ dedication and support throughout the past year. We sincerely appreciate their loyalty and commitment in consistently exceeding guest expectations,” said Lawrence Ho, chairman and CEO.
Wynn Macau also confirmed that nearly 98% of its 11,552 employees at Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace will receive a special allowance on January 30.
“We are truly grateful for the efforts and contributions our team members have made over the past year, and we are pleased to announce a special allowance in recognition of their hard work,” said Linda Chen, president and vice chairman.
She added that the company remains committed to supporting Macau’s adequate economic diversification and long-term growth.
MGM China Holdings announced that approximately 95% of its workforce will receive the bonus beginning January 21.
“We carried forward the momentum of a new chapter by continuously optimizing our innovative products and service experiences, achieving steady progress in our business development – all thanks to the dedication and hard work of our team,” said chairperson Pansy Ho.
The announcements follow GEG’s earlier disclosure that around 97% of its employees will receive a discretionary one-month bonus on February 9.
So far, no operators have confirmed whether salary increases are planned for 2026, although all six operators provided both a one-month bonus and salary raises last year.
Official statistics show that average monthly earnings in the gaming sector reached MOP27,390 as of June 2025, an increase of 2.4% year-over-year.
Gross gaming revenue totaled MOP247.4 billion last year, a 9.1% increase from 2024.
