Mouth-watering perfection

Recently, Cloudy Bay releases Sauvignon Blanc 2022, a vibrant and fruity yet balanced and mouth-watering flavour bottle. The 2022 season was more challenging after three near-perfect vintages. The weather was unsettled during flowering with extensive rain during winter. Luckily, Sauvignon Blanc flowered successfully. The tough condition reinforced and reminded us of the importance of the vineyard teams and the work they have to do in order to ensure the quality of the fruits. Growing process may have been hard but harvest took place under excellent conditions and grapes were picked at perfect maturity. The 2022 Sauvignon Blanc has a zesty and vibrant nose, with notes of juicy citrus and makrut lime underpinned by subtle white nectarine and passionfruit notes, making it the perfect bottle to be shared with loved ones.

With new bottle of Vintage, Cloudy Bay is also adapting a new, upgraded and more luxurious sustainable bottle design this year. The French green coloured glass is made in New Zealand to reduce the carbon footprint and has a minimum 60% recycled content. It also represents the iconic flavour. The monogram logo embossed in the heck heroes the founding date of 1984, celebrating Cloudy Bay putting New Zealand on the wine map 37 years ago. While the Richmond Ranges emboss also celebrates the place and the original label of Cloudy Bay, showing the distinctive shape of the mountains that can be seen from the winery.

Yang Shen, Estate Director of Cloudy Bay said: “We are proud of our history, feel a sense of responsibility to ensure that we challenge ourselves to continually improve in everything that we do, and believe that our 2022 vintage in this bottle is a definite step in the right direction. It’s a story of adventure and innovation, of dedication and hard work, and reflects where we are right now.”

The revamped bottle and label embrace Cloudy Bay’s value of simplicity and commitment to the nature. The brand is dedicated to produce high quality wine even if it’s a challenging year.
