New directors of DSI inaugurated

Chao Wai Ieng and Chan Un Lai took an oath to assume the position of director and deputy director of the Identification Services Bureau (DSI) yesterday. The inauguration ceremony was hosted by the Secretary for Administration and Justice, Cheong Weng Chon. In the ceremony, Chao Wai Ieng and Chan Un Lai mentioned that they would do their utmost to unite DSI colleagues and strive together to execute every task in the area of identification. Also, they will pledged retain DSIs service spirit of “people-orientation, integrity and equity, honesty and courtesy, efficiency and premium quality” after taking up the position.

DSAL prepares for next round of internship program

The Labour Affairs Bureau (DSAL) is preparing for the next round of the “Creating Better Job Perspectives for 2022” internship program, which is scheduled for June. Lei Kai Keng, head of the Employment Department at DSAL, said the past three rounds of this program involved 1,351 young people, 503 of whom were successfully employed and 10% promoted.
