First introduced in 2009, the 13th Oktoberfest Macau is set to make a comeback MGM COTAI after a three-year hiatus, offering a 12-day authentic outdoor festival experience. The roots of this world’s largest beer festival can be traced back to 1810 in Munich, Germany. Over time, a carnival aspect was added to the event, which made it even more appealing to families and friends. Apart from delectable German gourmet and beer, the festival is packed with traditional Bavarian music, entertainment and decorations.
The Oktoberfest Macau at MGM 2023 will take place at the 1/F Roof Terrace of MGM COTAI, an expansive and versatile outdoor venue that has hosted a number of large-scale trending events, including the outdoor concert of Asia’s top rock band Mayday, MGM Chef Nic Gastronomusic Fest that fuses food, culture and music and more. From October 12 to 23, 6pm to 12am daily, guests can immerse themselves in the most authentic German Oktoberfest festivities at this vibrant outdoor extravaganza setting. The event will feature the quintessential blue-and-white marquee, long wooden tables, world’s oldest and most iconic German brew Löwenbräu beer and specialties, dynamic performance of the crowd’s favorite Högl Fun Band from Munich, beer girls in Bavarian costumes and exciting carnival booth games.
In addition, there will be a special Family Day session on October 15 from 11am to 3pm, allowing parents and kids to have fun at the authentic German festive event together. Non-alcoholic beverage options will be available, and families can indulge in fun-filled game booths and an outdoor play area for kids, enduring a delightful day out for everyone.
