Over 58,000 residents have collected discounts at more than 100 designated locations across the city, as Macau rolls out a new 10-week government-backed consumption drive aimed at boosting local spending and supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) through electronic vouchers.
The 2026 Community Consumption Rewards Program, jointly organized by the government and business associations, runs from April 10 to June 18.
Voucher redemptions take place from Monday to Thursday at more than 20,000 participating outlets across Macau. Each voucher must be used in a transaction worth at least three times its value, and multiple vouchers can be automatically applied in a single purchase once the threshold is met. Unused vouchers expire at the end of each week.
The program also includes targeted support for seniors and persons with disabilities through Macau Pass Senior Citizen Cards and Disability Assessment Registration Cards. These cardholders receive an instant 50% discount on eligible purchases, with the remaining half deducted from stored value. The discount can be used daily without an upper limit, although unused benefits expire when the campaign ends.
