Diptyque opens a magnificent new chapter in the Les Essences de Diptyque collection with the launch of Lazulio, a captivating Eau de Parfum inspired by the hypnotic beauty of the peacock feather. This fragrance is a sublime expression of the Maison’s olfactory odyssey, transforming the silent wonders of nature into celebrated works of art.
Lazulio is born from a profound appreciation and tribute to the elegance and majesty of the peacock feather. The name Lazulio echoes the profound crystalline beauty of lapis lazuli, a semi-precious stone in blueish hues ranging from the mysterious to the luminous, much like the mesmerising splendour of the peacock feather.
Created by renowned master perfumer Quentin Bisch, Lazulio opens with a bold, tangy accord of lively rhubarb and the delicious, enveloping caress of benzoin. A delicate touch of rose and the woody, citrusy notes of Haitian vetiver add further emphasis to the rich interplay of colours and textures, capturing the essence of the radiant bird. This symphony of contrasting elements captures the very essence of the peacock’s majestic display, creating what Quentin Bisch himself describes as the “fragrance of a jewel”.
Lazulio is housed in the emblematic Les Essences de Diptyque bottle, featuring the Maison’s signature oval engraved on the glass. The multi-sensorial journey extends to the outer box, adorned with lyrical watercolour illustrations of peacock feathers. Realised by artist Nigel Peake, the graphic art brings the delicacy and majesty of the peacock to life. The bottle is refillable and crafted from recyclable materials, underscoring the Maison’s commitment to sustainable practices. IS
