Photography exhibition at Amagao Gallery explores light, movement and perception

A solo photography exhibition by local artist Vong Sek Kuan opened today at Amagao Gallery, showcasing works that explore light, movement and perception through an experimental approach to photography.
Titled “Flowing Light • Radiant Colors,” the exhibition features Vong’s latest works created using his “camera-shaking” technique.
The artist deliberately moves his camera during exposure, turning light and color into abstract compositions without digital manipulation. Each image is created entirely in-camera, making the works unique records of the moment they were captured.
The exhibition explores the concept of “Landscapes of Consciousness,” presenting photography as an expression of perception, memories and emotions rather than simply a record of physical surroundings.
The exhibition is co-curated by Ieong Man Pan of 1844 Macau Photography Art Space and Victor Marreiros of Amagao Gallery.
