POLY MGM MUSEUM Welcomes One Millionth Visitor

Showcasing the charm of cultural heritage and the ingenuity of innovative curation, POLY MGM MUSEUM has captivated audiences since its debut, attracting visitors from Macau, Hong Kong, Mainland China, and over 40 countries and regions worldwide. Today (November 20), the Museum celebrated the remarkable milestone by welcoming its one millionth visitor. To mark this momentous occasion, Kenneth Feng, President and Executive Director of MGM China Holdings Limited, presented the lucky visitor, Ms. Zhai Guoying from Guangxi, China, with an exclusive commemorative gift.

Thrilled to become the one-millionth visitor, Ms. Zhai received a 100-gram pure gold “Ruyi” ornament, specially prepared by the Museum, symbolizing good fortune and the enduring legacy of cultural heritage. The atmosphere was vibrant as over 100 MGM team members gathered to witness and cheer for this joyful moment.

Sharing her excitement, Ms. Zhai said that visiting POLY MGM MUSEUM with her family was already a memorable experience, and she was particularly impressed by the multimedia work, “Visions Upon the Wall: A Myriad Forms Revealed”. Receiving the meaningful golden Ruyi made this trip to Macau truly unforgettable.

Pansy Ho, Chairperson and Executive Director of MGM China Holdings Limited, stated, “POLY MGM MUSEUM is committed to pioneering forward-thinking curatorial concepts that blend and juxtapose elements from both ancient and modern times, as well as Chinese and Western cultures. Through distinctive narrative perspectives, we aim to deliver a museum experience that is intellectually enriching, engaging, and appealing to visitors of all ages — especially younger generations. Welcoming our one millionth visitor is a testament to this vision and strengthens our confidence as we embark on the next exciting chapter of our journey.”

Embracing the concept of a “living museum”, the POLY MGM MUSEUM breaks away from traditional displays. Through avant-garde curation, immersive installations, and cross-media narratives, artifacts are made accessible to visitors of all ages and backgrounds, offering them an inclusive, open, and multidimensional cultural experience.

Structured into four thematic chapters, the museum’s newly “Silk Roads Beyond Borders” exhibition traces the history of the overland Silk Road and features more than 200 historical artifacts and contemporary artworks. Through imaginative curatorial storytelling, it reconstructs a dialogue between past and present, inviting visitors into a cultural journey that transcends time and space.

Beyond the main exhibition, POLY MGM MUSEUM continues to offer a diverse range of extended programs, including talks, inter-museum exchanges, workshops, and family night tours, fostering deeper engagement between art and the public. Professional guided tours and an audio guide system enhance the visitor experience, while the museum’s M BOX presents a curated selection of creative products echoing the exhibition themes, allowing guests to take a tangible piece of their cultural experience home.
