Artilheiros leads women’s division after 11-0 win over Sporting

The Artilheiros team tops the 2025 Macau Football League Women’s Division after defeating Sporting 11-0 in a match held Friday evening at Lin Fong Stadium.

With this win, Artilheiros, which had tied ADRAM 2-2 in the first week of the championship, leads the standings on goal difference (+11). ADRAM also won this weekend, leaving both teams with four points.

In the second match of Match Day 2, ADRAM defeated Hong Fong 4-1 in a game held Saturday evening at the University of Macau Stadium.

In a one-sided game the previous day, Artilheiros routed Sporting with 11 unanswered goals, highlighting the greens as the weakest team in the championship so far, with two losses, 14 goals conceded, and none scored.

ADRAM, one of the title contenders, faced a tougher challenge against Hong Fong, particularly in the first half. ADRAM took the lead through Sara Fonseca’s free kick, but Hong Fong equalized a few minutes later while controlling possession. Before halftime, Inês restored ADRAM’s lead with a shot from the edge of the box.

In the second half, ADRAM dominated and extended the lead to 4-1, with goals from Fong Iok Wa and Fonseca again, a scoreline that held until the final whistle.

The Macau Football League Women’s Division kicked off last week, marking its first season after years of calls for its establishment.

The championship continues Friday, Dec. 5, with Sporting vs. ADRAM at 7:15 p.m. at Lin Fong Stadium, followed by Artilheiros vs. Hong Fong at 9 p.m. The third round will conclude the first half of the double round-robin league format, with the second half starting Dec. 11.
