Qatar Airways looks to recruit in Macau

Qatar Airways, the national airline of Qatar, is hosting a cabin crew recruitment event in Macau on October 18. The airline highlights the job benefits for its cabin crew in its advertisement, including: world travel opportunities; competitive compensation; and a tax-free remuneration package including accommodation, allowances and transportation for duty. Applicants must be willing to relocate to Doha, Qatar. The event will be held at the Sofitel Macau.

CTM: Submarine cable fixed

Part of the SMW3 submarine cable located near Singapore was damaged on the afternoon of September 24, affecting access to international websites among CTM Internet customers. According to a CTM press release, restoration work took place on the damaged submarine cable yesterday between midnight and 5 a.m. CTM stated that during that period, telecom services of Shan Tou, Macau, Hong Kong, Singapore, the Philippines, Vietnam and Singapore were affected. The telecom operator added that it has now put in place a number of contingency measures to ensure the stability of its internet services, including increasing bandwidth resources and rerouting data traffic via alternative means.
