Raymond Tam emphasizes waste reduction

3-0160302.016dRaymond Tam Vai Man was inaugurated yesterday as the new Director of the Environmental Protection Bureau (DSPA) at a ceremony presided over by the Secretary for Transport and Public Works, Raimundo do Rosário.
“We hope to perform better in order [to reduce] waste,” Tam expressed, hinting that people should change their habits when it comes to waste disposal.
“Regarding other problems related to the environment, we also hope to be able to [make] improvements,” he added, as cited by TDM.
Raymond Tam is the former head of the Civil and Municipal Affairs Bureau (IACM). He left his post after being accused of involvement in the scandal surrounding irregular grants of cemetery plots, but at trial was found not guilty.
