Saicho’s Minami Sayaka Arrives

Saicho has unveiled Minami Sayaka, the newest addition to its Rare Tea Collection—a sparkling tea for those who take celebrations a. Grown in the mountain gardens of Gokase by the Miyazaki family, who have tended the land since 1930, this rare cultivar flourishes above 600 metres, where slow growth yields concentration and a quiet sense of place. Third-generation tea maker Akira Miyazaki spent four years refining a gentle oxidation technique, producing a semi-oxidised tea with the elegance of oolong. Delicate gardenia and magnolia open the pour, followed by white peach, nashi pear, almond and marzipan. It pairs beautifully with oysters, scallops and fresh goat’s cheese. Presented in the Rare Tea Collection’s signature gift box, Minami Sayaka is available at selected Hong Kong stockists this festive season. IS
