In an effort to address the ongoing public health challenges surrounding the coronavirus outbreak, Sands China has pledged to donate 25 million patacas to help contain the spread of the virus and assist with relief efforts in mainland China and Macau.
The donation includes 20 million patacas pledged in coordination with the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macau SAR to assist the mainland in its efforts to combat the virus, and another 5 million patacas to support the local community to implement preventive measures.
“We strongly support Macau and mainland China in their efforts to contain the coronavirus and protect their citizens. We will certainly do everything we can to help return things to normal as quickly as possible,” said Sheldon Adelson, chairman and chief executive officer of Las Vegas Sands and Sands China.
