MGM China donates MOP20 million for buying medical supplies

MGM China yesterday announced a MOP20 million donation, made in coordination with the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in Macau, to help Hubei province fight against the coronavirus epidemic. The donation will be used for the purchase of preventive and medical supplies, as well as urgent-needed materials and equipment, supporting national epidemic relief and prevention.
“We would like to express our gratitude for the tireless and selfless effort of the medical professionals, who have been protecting the lives of our people, especially the ones at the frontline of Hubei province,” said Pansy Ho, co-chairperson and executive director of MGM China.
“We would also like to express our sincere condolence to the families affected by the epidemic. During this difficult time, MGM utterly unites with every fellow of our nation. We will overcome this hardship and welcome a greater tomorrow together.”
According to a statement issued by the casino operator, MGM will continue to follow the government’s direction in the “spirit of solidarity and cooperation.”
