Sands Resorts Macao has received two Gold Stevie Awards and a Bronze Stevie in the Art, Entertainment and Public category at The 16th Annual International Business Awards (IBAs) for its events.
The resorts operator picked up a Gold Stevie Award in the Sporting Event section for Light The Night Run 2018, during which more than 530 professional athletes and amateur sports fans raced up The Parisian Macao’s Eiffel Tower, climbing 750 stairs in support of local charities and to encourage fitness, sport, wellness and health education.
Its second gold, in the Public Event section, recognized the Winter Extravaganza 2018, a large-scale event that kicked off the festive season at Sands Resorts Macao by transforming The Venetian Macao and The Parisian Macao into winter wonderlands.
The awards are designed to reward and recognize the accomplishments and contributions of companies and business people worldwide, with this year’s winners to be officially announced at a gala event in Vienna, Austria, on October 19.
Brett Ingram, Assistant Vice President of Sands Resorts Macao, said in a press release: “We are delighted to have won these prestigious international awards which recognize Sands Resorts Macao as one of the leaders in organizing and hosting global events. Events of this calibre require not only vision and ambition, but also total commitment and many hours of hard work to bring to fruition.”
The 2019 IBAs received entries from organizations in 74 nations with more than 4,000 nominations.
