Seac Pai Van Park opens new ecological facilities

Coloane’s Seac Pai Van Park will introduce three new attractions beginning trial operations Saturday, the Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) announced. The facilities include the Pavilion of Amphibians and Reptiles, an aviary, and a butterfly-friendly garden. The 1,080-square-meter pavilion showcases more than 40 animals from 26 species, including native species, rescued Asian water monitors, and Burmese pythons. The sunlit aviary houses CITES-listed birds such as scarlet ibis and macaws. The 640-square-meter butterfly garden, developed with Hong Kong’s Fung Yuen Butterfly Reserve, features 18 plant species to support local biodiversity.
