Slow Festival to launch in Barra revitalization district this May

The revitalization of Macau’s six old districts is being driven by a new model, the Macau General Union of Neighbourhood Associations – operator of the district development center – confirmed. A centre representative told reporters on Saturday that district activities will begin in May, including a Slow Festival at the Barra District during the May Day Golden Week, featuring an intangible culturalheritage market and tea ceremonies. Reportedly, the center will partner with the industry to kickstart district operations, set up regular cultural performance venues, and cooperate with the food and beverage sector, expressing confidence that the programme will draw visitors and stimulate broader development.
