JW Marriott Hotel Macau is celebrating the Summer Solstice with its signature Garden Party, a nature-inspired dining experience hosted in the tranquil JW Garden.

Designed to honor the longest day of the year, the garden party reflects JW Marriott’s global philosophy of well-being, encouraging guests to slow down, connect with nature and savor the joy of being present.

As part of a synchronized celebration across JW Marriott’s global portfolio, each property hosted its own Garden Party reflective of its unique locale.

These gatherings are more than seasonal events, they are moments to embrace the spirit of renewal, light and community that the solstice represents.

At JW Marriott Hotel Macau, the celebration offered an immersive outdoor dining experience infused with local botanical flavors, community rituals, and the hotel’s signature hospitality.

The JW Garden, found at JW Marriott properties globally, is inspired by the Marriott family’s deep connection to nature.

Founder J. Willard Marriott was known for his daily walks outdoor, while his wife Alice Marriott was a devotedgardener. In Macau, the JW Garden continues that legacy by growing a variety of fresh herbs and seasonal produce, including locally cultivated cilantro, which is featuredprominently in the evening’s culinary creations.

The Summer Solstice Garden Party begins with a toast to good health and an interactive bread-breaking ceremony, served alongside a warm Home-made Salted Butter Candle. The chef meticulously crafted the menu around the garden grown cilantro – from the Calamansi Lime Vinaigretteaccompanying appetizers, Mojo Chicken Skewers andJumbo Garlic Prawns from the grill, as well as SeafoodPaella, the fresh herbs perfectly balance the savory richness. 

The Carving Station features a succulent Slow-roasted Wagyu Chuck Eye Roll, while local favorite desserts like Serradura and Portuguese Egg Tarts offer a sweet homage to Macau.

Each dish serves as a flavorful reminder of how the JW Garden connects guests to nature, through taste, aroma, and a sense of place.

The Summer Solstice Garden Party is anchored in rituals that celebrate community and mindfulness. Guests are welcomed to a beautifully styled long table, symbolizing connection and unity.

In tribute to Alice Marriott’s passion for flowers, the printed menus are crafted on plantable seed paper, inviting guests to take home a living memory of the evening.
