The Buzz | Macau government to follow up on identical logo
The Government Information Bureau (GCS) said that it received an email on Monday informing the bureau that a state university in Turkey had adopted a similar logo to the SAR’s emblem.
A spokesperson from the bureau told the Times that the office had forwarded the email to the relevant department for follow up.
“An email was sent by a foreigner to GCS this Monday, saying [that] Macau’s
official logo was stolen by a state university in Republic of Turkey,” the spokesperson said.
“GCS has sent this email to the Protocol, Public Relations and External Affairs Office for their follow up and consideration,” the bureau added.
The Kirklareli University has been using a logo almost identical to the Macau emblem for more than a decade.
