The Macau Government Tourist Office (MGTO) is staging a “mega roadshow” under the theme “Experience Macau”, to be held  in Kuala Lumpur between Oct. 27 and Nov. 1. This event  is expected to provide an opportunity for Malaysian locals to get a glimpse into tourism opportunities in Macau. MGTO has partnered with local travel agencies to offer special travel packages at the event.
The roadshow is being held at the Pavilion Kuala Lumpur,
the Malaysian capital’s famous shopping mall. The venue was decorated in such a way as to recreate the environment of Senado Square, and featured a variety of interactive exhibits for locals to experience the elements Macau has to offer.
The event features a range of special experiences including on-demand personalized caricatures and interactive photo zones, which allow roadshow visitors the chance to win prizes in return for sharing pictures via social media. In addition, there is a Grand Prix simulator which permits visitors to experience the challenges of the Guia Circuit first-hand.
During a trade networking dinner hosted by MGTO on Wednesday, the director, Senna Fernandes, exchanged ideas with representatives of Malay travel agencies about attracting visitors to Macau. The roadshow and dinner are expected to raise Macau’s profile as a tourist destination and to encourage and facilitate travel to the SAR among Malaysians.
