Water Garden

There are summer scents that simply refresh. And then there are those that transport you entirely. Diptyque, true to form, has chosen the latter for its seasonal offering, inviting us to step into a “Jardin des Eaux”—a water garden where coolness and light dance in perfect harmony.
This year, the Maison has traded the predictable for the poetic. Imagine a sanctuary of sheltering pines, blooming jasmine, and orange trees, where crystal-clear fountains catch the sunlight and send it scattering across the walls. That is the inspiration behind the 2026 summer collection. To bring this vision to life visually, Diptyque collaborated with contemporary mosaic artist Mathilde Jonquière, whose work with enamelled Venetian glass captures the very essence of fragmented light reflecting on water.
At the heart of the collection is Eau des Sens, an eau de toilette that bursts forth like a luminous cascade. Juniper berry provides sparkling freshness, while angelica and patchouli add aromatic depth and elegant woodiness. For the first time, this beloved fragrance has been extended into a limited-edition Hair Mist, its bottle adorned with Jonquière’s intricate mosaic motifs.
Beyond fragrance, Diptyque has crafted a full sensorial routine for the season. A new After-Sun Body Milky-Gel, infused with citronnelle and geranium, soothes and refreshes sun-warmed skin. A Summer Body Spray offers a lively, aromatic veil, while the Perfumed Cleansing Body Gel turns a simple shower into a final, delicate touch of sunlight.
The water garden extends into the home as well. The new Pinède (Pine Grove) candle evokes the dry, resinous warmth of a Mediterranean forest. And for those long summer evenings, the Golden Carousel returns, reinvented with gilded geranium pendants that dance in the candle’s glow. It is, as always with Diptyque, an invitation to savour the season—whether you visit this garden in your mind or carry its essence with you wherever you go. IS
